16 Deighton, Len Penguin Cookbooks: Ou Est Le Garlic and Action Cook Book
London Penguin 1967 Reprint Paperback Good Landscape 12mo
Two paperback volumes in illustrated slipcase. Slipcase is solid and intact, with a little wear around the edges and some discolouration. A little tape residue but no abrasion. Light general and edgewear to both paperbacks, but the clever illustrations, front and back, are bright and clear. Both spines are discoloured (possibly by being kept in a working kitchen) and have some rubbing along the hinges. The "Action Cook Book" spine is rather creased, but the binding in both books is solid. Both books have a lightly inked gift message on the first (o/w blank) page. Internally both books are uncreased and unmarked. Both volumes contain plenty of the famous Cookstrips. This slipcased edition was assembled from reprints of the two volumes and all royalties from their sale went to Oxfam.
