Part of Allan Wilkie's project to promote Shakespeare (and Wilkie's own Shakespeare company) in Australia.

The St. Peter's stamp appears two or three times later in the book. These are the only indications of the book's ex-lib status. Frontis is the Chandos Portrait of Shakespeare. Errata slip tipped in. The author was a member of the Australian National Federal Convention, 1897-8.
