363 pp. Red cloth boards with black decoration and illustrated gilt titles on front and spine. Worn back to the board and spine, esp. near foreedge and corners. Stain from water damage to rear endpapers. Small, diamond-shaped bookbinder's sticker to rear pastedown ( "Bound by Burns & Co."). Front and back hinges are cracking, showing mesh. Book is otherwise tightly bound. Edges are foxed, and there is foxing and staining throughout. 10 black-and-white plates, engravings.
